Miguel Dachelet has signed a two-year contract (with 1 year extra option) with Lierse.
Dachelet is a 24-year old Belgian central defender with Zulte-Waregem, where he played for four seasons, before that he made his professional debut with Standard.
C.E.O. Jesse De Preter: “With the injuries to Swinkels and Frans earlier this week, we had to move quickly. Dachelet stood in our 'shadow eleven' and contact was quickly established. We've now been able to complete on a contract. Miguel is the type of player we've been looking for, a young motivated Belgian, who already has a few seasons experience in the First Division.”
Miguel Dachelet: "I'm happy to be able to sign for Lierse. I had reached a dead end at Zulte-Waregem. I still had a contract for one year, but after discussion with the coach it was obvious that I was no longer part of his plans. So when Lierse came calling, I didn't hesitate for long. I know the club, but mostly as an opponent. Players that had stood out for mr were Claasen and Saïdi. I'm really looking forward to getting started, and am immediately joining the squad."
