The Venezuelan Jesus Gomez and the Swede Marcus Andreasson have both had their contracts with Lierse terminated today.

Jesus Gomez, who was attached to our sister club Wadi Degla, had come to Belgium to recuperate from a serious ankle injury. The revalidation period was long and difficult. Despite this Lierse wanted to give him a chance and Jesus signed a contract with the club. But ultimately he didn't play a single minute. It's therefore better for all parties that Gomez leaves us. He'll return to his native country Venezuela, where he hopes to win back his place in the national team.

Marcus Andreasson came from Norwegian side Molde FK, has had offers from a number of clubs, and will probably return to Norway.
