In their fourth pre-season match Lierse won 1-6 away to Provincial League side Herentals.

For Lierse Dequevy and Radzinski appeared for the first time in the starting line up. Radzinski missed a few chances early in the match, al though the Canadian-Belgian also saw 2 goals (incorrectly) ruled out. By that time Herentals already led 1-0, Sanou given too much space to head in unmarked from a corner. Before the break Job put Lierse in front with 2 goals.
After the break Lierse went 4-1 up with goals from new arrivals Sekour and Dequevy. On the hour 9 players were replaced. Youngsters Adensaya, Meeus and Claes, amongst others, getting their chance.
Thiebaut and then Mensah with a nice goal from distance made the final score 1-6.
