


On Saturday evening Lierse played their first pre-season friendly away to 2nd division Provincial side KV Hooikt, and won 0-13.
In the first half a resilient Hooikt held Lierse for a long time at bay. The opening goal from Sonck came only in the 23rd minute. But Lierse had increased their tally to 6 by the break. In the second half, a further 7 goals were added, including a hattrick from both Glenn Claes and Elgabas. Sonck was replaced after suffering an injury, a swelling after a blow on the knee, which is not considered serious. As a precaution De Wree and Frans were not used.

82' Vets wins the ball and finds Elgabas, 1-2 with Bidaoui, Elgabas is unselfish and allows Claasen to score: 0-11.
