Lierse rounded off their pre-season campaign on Monday evening with a 2-1 win at 2nd division side KVK Tienen. In their 11 pre-season friendlies, Lierse won 9, and drew 2.

Lierse took the lead after only 2 minutes. Job with a good run, rounding keeper Govoni, the ball bobbled towards the goalline, and Radzinski tapped in from close range : 0-1. On 5 minutes a corner from Kevin Janssens, Frans (returning at centre back) with a fine header: 0-2. Tienen fought back with a free kick, Kawashima down quickly and held confidently. Lierse put together some nice moves in the first half. Dequevy sent away down the wing, sharp cross, Govoni with a super reflex from the resultant effort from Kevin Janssens. Our nr. 23 also had the next chance, this time Govoni beating out the bending shot from Janssens with his fists. Tienen triallist Njock found himself through on goal just before the break, Kawashima saving well with his legs.
Lierse made 9 changes at halftime, only Frans and Davids left on for the second half. Njock created the first danger, Kujovic pushing his shot from distance away for a corner. Lierse had chances via Douala (save Govoni) and Thieabaut (shot on turn over, and a shot saved by Govoni). Cavens sent Douala through, the angled shot from the Camerooner going just wide. Substitute Nahimana scored for Tienen in the 90th minute, after setting off on a long mazy run which left everyone in his wake. Final score 1-2.
