The second day at training camp began with breakfast. After that it was time to become acquainted with the Marina Wadi Degla Resort. No time was wasted in heading for the beautiful beach. It wasn't warm enough to swim, but beach volleyball and jet skiing were possible. At a game of beach football with some of the children, the first injury occurred. CEO Neel de Ceulaer suffrered a slight sprain, and received treatment from the Lierse kinesist. Lunch followed at 3pm on the sun decked terrace.

Around 4.30 pm it was already dark, and the group went indoors.Time for the players to show off their snooker and pool skills. The Trivial Pursuit was also got out. And as wireless internet is available, there was much communication with the home front via the various laptops.

At 7pm the New Years Eve party began. After the aperitive there was a performance by a belly dancer, who tried to get the Lierse players to join in. Around 9pm there was a superb buffet. As midnight approached, there were some nice performances from song and dance groups. The countdown itself took place on the terrace, together with fireworks and champagne. Afterwards the party really got going, and the dance floor was full. It didn't go on too late, as the next morning a trip to the pyramids was scheduled.
