Siboniso Gaxa leaves Lierse for Kaizer Chiefs

Siboniso Gaxa is to leave Lierse with immediate effect to join South African team Kaizer Chiefs. Gaxa has played for Lierse since he 2010–2011 season. He came from Mamelodi Sundowns (SA). Since 2005 he has also been a regular in the South African national side.
He still had one year remaining on his contract with Lierse, but had indicated for some time that he wanted to return back to his homeland.
Kaizer Chiefs are undoubtedly one of the most popular teams in South Africa. The clubs ambition is to win the First Division championship next season. They were last champions in 2005. They have subsequently strengthened in various ways. Gaxa is reunited with trainer Stuart Baxter, the man who gave him his first international call up.
Lierse wishes Siboniso – Pa – Gaxa all the best in the rest of his career and thanks him for his performances for Lierse.
