
Siboniso ‘Pa’ Gaxa (b. 06/03/84, Durban) is a 26-year old South African footballer who has signed for Lierse from the South African First division club Mamelodi Sundowns. He has won 40 caps for Bafana Bafana, the South African National team, and was part of their World Cup squad..
Gaxa is a youth product of the FC Copenhagen School of Excellence, which is linked to Port Elisabeth University. Elrio van Heerden was a colleague of his there.
Gaxa began his career with Supersport United and joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2008.
He is 1m 85 and plays on the right hand side of defence. Gaxa, who is know in South Africa under his nickname Pa, is a player with great strength and resistance, and not short of technical ability.
He's become a regular in the South African national team since being in the under-17s. Afterwards he played for the under-20s before becoming a full international.
Siboniso Gaxa has signed a three year contract with Lierse.
