Last Monday Wadi Degla drew 0-0 with Dakhlia FC. It was the third 0-0 draw in a row for our Egyptian sister club.
Wadi Degla didn't start the match well, and it was WD keeper Essam Mahmoud, who had to save the first dangerous effort on goal from Temsah. The match developed into a midfield battle.
The last part of the first half was more exciting and Wadi Degla began to fashion some chances. A free kick from Mostafa Talaat caused problems for the Dakhlia keeper.
In the second half Wadi Degla performed somewhat better and the yellow-blacks laid siege to the opposition goal. Al Agha had the first chance after a run down the left, but Dakhlia immediately responded with two chances of their own, followed by an excellent one on one chance which was won by WD keeper Essam Mahmoud.
Walter Meeuws made several changes: Alaa Issa making way for Mustafa Kahraba, and Mekki replaced by Weya. The substitutes made a difference. Thanks to them a good chance was created for ex-Lierse player William Mensah, but the defender fluffed his lines. After that Al Agha was also replaced, Shamama coming on. The visitors had the last chance of the match, but 0-0 was the final result.
