On the last day of 2011 our sister club Wadi Degla played against Misr Lel Makasa.
The visitors took the lead in the eighth minute via a nicely taken free kick from Fouad Salama, the ball flying in the roof of the goal from a good 30 metres out. Five minutes later the home side equalised via Amr Adel, from a penalty. The score remained 1-1 until the break, despite a a good shot from ex-Lierse player Wahed, which went just wide.
Wadi Degla took the lead ten minutes after the break through Mostafa Talaat, afyer he won back possession in midfield, and fired home with the outside of his right foot. Talaat again struck the crossbar on the hour with a fierce shot, but five minutes later he did score again following good build up play from Ashour.
But the home sides joy didn't last long. Misr Lel Makasa scored 2 minutes later from a header via a header from Touré, and in the 78th minute Fouad Salama equalised from a penalty: 3-3. Wadi Degla went in search of a winner and created a few good chances, but a goal proved elusive.
