Lierse loan young talent out to KV Turnhout
After Thomas Wils and Nathan Goris, now Christopher Meyers has also been loaned out by K. Lierse K to KV Turnhout.
The intention is that the young players get as much playing opportunity there as possible.
In this way they'll be brought on quicker so that after one season, or even half a season, they'll be able to come back to Lierse with experience under their belt. The moves have taken place at the request of the players involved.
Neel De Ceulaer, C.E.O. of Lierse: "We want the players to be playing in a really strong league. In the Exqi League then. We have experienced that ourselves for three years. In this way Meyers, Wils and Goris can develop further, get a lot of games and increase their experience. When they return to Lierse we have to be able to incorporate them in the first team. Furthermore, these are not bad players. Meyers, Wils and Goris heave all three played with the first team at various times in the past few seasons.”
