++ As expected Dayton has today signed a three-year contract with Lierse ++

Lierse have reached a verbal agreement with Daylon Claasen, the South African who has been on trial with Lierse for a few weeks and has trained with the First team.

Daylon Claasen, 20 (28/01/90) comes from the youth of Ajax Amsterdam and before that played at Ajax Cape Town in South Africa. There he was recognised as one of the best players of his group, and even of his generation. He's played a number of youth internationals for his country.
Claesen's best position is on the left of midfield, a la Pienaar. If everything goes well, the contract with Lierse will be signed on Friday morning.

CEO Neel De Ceulaer: “Daylon is indeed our second South African acquisition, after Lance. That can only assist with his integration. He is a quick and strong midfielder, a real playmaker, who had to compete at Ajax Amsterdam against too strong competition in that position. He's a real talent. That was evident at Ajax Cape Town, and especially at Ajax Amsterdam.”
