Lierse were welcmed wholeheartedly to neighbours KV Hooikt for the first pre-season match. 
The match ended 1-10. In a very enjoyable first half Lierse scored 7 goals, including a few beauties. Triallists Sekour (3 goals) and Diallo (1 goal + 1 assist) made a good impression. Lierse made 9 changes at half time, and the match was less attractive in the 2nd half. Thiebaut scored a further 2 goalsl.
