Asmant El Suiz vs Wadi Degla 0-1 (Tuesday 2/3/2010)

On Tuesday, March 2nd, Wadi Degla played against Asmant Elsuiz, while all other matches were played on Wednesday.

The hosts, Asmant El Suiz, gave Wadi Degla an easy three points by scoring their own goal. At the very beginning of the match, in the 23rd second, Asmant Elsuiz’s central defender gave Wadi Degla a 1-0 victory. It's considered the fastest goal in the league to date.

First half
The first half wasn’t easy for Wadi Degla after the early first goal by Asmant El Suiz’s central defender, who scored their own goal for Wadi Degla. Directly after scoring this goal, the hosts tried to score the draw with the referee giving them a free kick close to Wadi Degla’s goal, but their midfielder didn’t shoot it as it should be. After this, Wadi Degla tried to score their second goal, but lost many easy chances. One of them was through Wael Abd El Fatah, who shot the ball wide from the bar and another was a great pass to Sayed El Sadony, the left back, who was alone in front of Asmant El Suiz’s goal, but he also shot it far from the goal. The hosts came back again to attack Wadi Degla’s goal, but was unsuccessful due to the great performance by the three central defenders, Kawarshy, Mahmoud EL Hoseni and Shehab. The rest of the first half had several wasted chances by both teams.

Second half
The second half started strongly for both teams, with Wadi Degla trying to score the second goal and the hosts trying to score the draw. In the middle of the second half the Asmant El Suiz striker got a red card because he was aggressive with Wadi Degla’s midfielder, Abo Bakr Zakaria, and they continued the match with ten players. Abo Bakr Zakaria received a yellow card because of the way he talked to the referee. One minute after this he made a bad tackle to Asmant Elsuiz’s player causing a second yellow card and his removal from the match. The match continued with Asmant Elsuiz’s coach using all his options to score. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Asmant Elsuiz because of Shehab's tackle, but it hit the bar and went out, which was Asmant Elsuiz’s last real chance to equalize the score.

Wadi Degla is on top again with 39 points and are waiting for an important match next Wednesday against El Tersana. El Tersana was a first division team last year and they played a great match this week, scoring four goals. We hope that Wadi Degla wins this next match to stay at the top of the league.
